English for Speakers of Other Languages

Classmates from all over the world share interesting experiences in GCC's ESOL program. Small language classes with experienced teachers prepare GCC's international students for college study, the workplace and community life.

Credit courses at four levels meet during the day and in the evening. Students discuss culture, geography, history and social life as they improve their reading, vocabulary, writing, grammar, speaking, listening, pronunciation and computer skills. Tutors offer additional support.

ESOL students use all campus facilities such as the computer labs, library, career resource center, transfer office and fitness center. Financial aid is available for U.S. residents that qualify.

New for Fall 2007:

- Evening section of ESL 110, computer skills

- Non-credit workshop in TOEFL Preparation
